As mentioned in yesterday’s alert one of the principal features of this present time, and one that will have a great influence over moods in the coming weeks is the opposition of the Sun to Neptune.

This is likely to lead to extreme emotional sensitivity with idealistic, impressionable, or even self delusional qualities with an attraction towards creative or artistic pursuits. Similarly there may be an enhanced sense of spiritual or mystical awareness, that may open up fresh avenues of personal enquiry. In addition there may be impractical or escapist tendencies that could make it difficult to keep to a rigid schedule.

Subtle doubts and fears may exert yet more distracting influence and problems may be magnified or made to assume unrealistic or ridiculous dimensions. There may also be fears concerning health that may prove difficult to assuage and these concerns may be strong enough to reach obsessional levels of apprehension.

We are now approaching the phase of the Moon where thoughts and emotions become easy prey to feelings of doubt and insecurity, with the potential for depression and melancholia. As a result there may be a lowered sense of self confidence with a some pessimism, easy disappointment, or disillusionment.

On the more positive side this mood - as mentioned above - offers great creative potential as well as the spring board for thoughts and ideas of a highly original nature. The trouble arises in finding the discipline and determination to pursue these inclinations in the face of nagging doubts or confusion, or an early inertia towards hard work and effort.

It should be warned that the effects of alcohol could be highly unpredictable at this time and strict moderation should be the order of the day. This may be difficult as this atmosphere easily disposes to escapist tendencies including what may be an intense desire to withdraw from the harsh realities of life.
