Today sees the Moon at perigee - which represents its closest monthly approach to the Earth. Coming just days after the Full Moon this means an intensification and prolongation of the Moon’s effects with extra tension and anxiety, along with a noticeable degree of nervous restlessness.

As a result moods may still feel stretched and on edge, with increased awareness and perception. In addition there is the potential for short tempered outbursts, irritability, or intolerance. This atmosphere is also likely to give rise to subtle fears and apprehensions along with notable concerns with the likelihood of insecurity or feeling unusually exposed or vulnerable to on going problems and difficulties. Just several days after the Full Moon and the overall atmosphere continues to exhibit a tense nervous restlessness. In addition there may be increased anxiety and a heightened sense of perception. Similarly there is the potential for a high degree of zestful enthusiasm with a definite desire to want to get things done.

We are still at the height of numerous planetary alignments and this inevitably means a complex mix of energy with clashing emotions that will be capable of fast changing moods and feelings. There may also be a tendency towards extremes, or behaviour of an unusual or eccentric nature with out of character moods and feelings. A special warning now exists concerning the alignment of the Moon and Uranus. This will last until around 16:00 GMT, or 11:00 EDT.

As a result moods and emotions may be subject to extremes of thought and action with very changeable and highly charged moods and feelings. In addition there is likely to be a high degree of nervous restlessness with over-excitable emotions with an emphasis on the dramatic and the very drastic. This may lead to upheaval in the family setting and it is a matter of record that many of the most brutal crimes occur under the influence of the Moon/Uranus alignment. This alignment can also lead to bizarre and out of character moods and feelings with eccentric, perverse or unusual modes of expression.

We are now in the midst of a highly complex pattern of planetary alignments, that come exactly at the time of the Full Moon. This means there will be strong and powerful moods with clashing emotions and feelings.

As with any Full Moon setting there is always the potential for heightened nervous restlessness with added anxiety and tension. In addition there may be aggressive behaviour with a strong possibility of arguments and contentious encounters.

Similarly there may be growing irritability, impatience, and lack of concentration. This situation will be made all the more sharper by the opposition between Mars and Jupiter. As a result there will be a sharpening of zestful energy that may instil a vigour and enthusiasm for getting on with things. There will also be a potential for more aggressive and belligerent attitudes with the risk of arguments, confrontation and volatile expression. Indeed it should be warned that where arguments develop there may be little restraint in what is said or done and events may swiftly degenerate towards extremes. This will me made all the more likely by the opposition between Mars and Jupiter.
