Today sees the Moon align with Jupiter, and the pair will stay conjunct for around 24 hours until around 07:00 GMT (02:00 EDT) on the 26th of July.
Likely traits to result from this alignment are a more generous, sympathetic and altogether more sociable atmosphere, with an increased sense of optimism and self expansion. There is also the chance of exaggerated or extravagant gestures with the possibility of ill judged, risky or physically dangerous ventures. For example Moon/Jupiter alignments may tend to blur the appreciation of risks leading to a foolhardy or over adventurous attitude, that at the very least may leave one prone to financial losses or the purchase of unnecessary items.
On the other hand this is an alignment that could add much needed depth and expansion to moods that may have been pressured or restrained for quite some time. This could lead to a heightened sense of entertainment with social events seeming to become more rewarding and pleasurable.
We are now just four or five days away from the Full Moon and inevitably this will contribute to some degree of tension and irritability, but also more zestful sense of awareness that may compliment some of the above mentioned features regarding the Moon/Jupiter alignment. It also means there will be subtle fears and apprehensions with a slightly worrying attitude, the worst elements of which may be tempered by the more exuberant qualities of Jupiter.
Coming days will show yet further increase in general stress and tension, together with more aggressive attitudes that will swiftly become apparent as we head towards the Full Moon on the 30th of July.
Alert is 6.5. Moon 83% illuminated.
