Subtle tensions may prevail over this current alert period, and although the phase of the Moon may indicate a period of few great highs or lows, the reality may be somewhat different.

The Moon is now coming into opposition with Mars, and the two will remain conjunct until around 15:00 GMT (10:00 EDT) on the 24th of July. Likely traits to result from this may include quickly aroused passions with a keen sense of likes or dislikes. There may also be a robust sense of energy with some nervous restlessness with impatient, impulsive, or forceful attitudes.

Some measure of restraint may come from the phase of the Moon which will tend to diminish the full force of these emotions. However this could mean a degree of melancholia or depression with a tendency to doubts, worry, or needless apprehension. Under these circumstances concentration may be far from optimal and it may feel harder to get going with a variety of competing thoughts likely to create an atmosphere of overall uncertainty.

Communication with others may be subject to misunderstandings or a sense of detachment in what is predominantly a self absorbed atmosphere that does not relate well to the needs of others. Similarly it may be as well not to expect too much help from others.

Although there may be a zest to achieve and accomplish, there is also likely to be an easy sense of disillusionment and disappointment so that feelings may easily be discouraged. By the same token it may take extra perseverance to stick to ones usual routine and happy will be those who are able to just relax doing nothing in particular in what is an ideal vacational atmosphere. On the other hand those faced with a firm deadline will feel especially pressured.

The reality is that after the above mentioned Moon/Mars opposition has come to an end we shall be very much in the lead up period to the next Full Moon, which although still around a week away will soon begin to make its effects known in the week ahead.
