12th - 13th July 2007

We are now just a day or two away from the New Moon. Almost inevitably moods will be tense and on edge with increased nervous restlessness, anxiety, and apprehension.

As a result it may feel difficult to settle with uncomfortable, distressing or unsettling emotions that for some may approach crisis level. Those prone to panic attacks or susceptible to sensitive atmospheres may feel especially vulnerable, and there may be an intense feeling of isolation or even loneliness.

For those better able to contend with highly zestful atmospheres there may be an energetic flourish of activity, with keen enthusiasm for on going schemes and ventures.

The proximity of the New Moon means there is an increased risk of contentious encounters with the potential for arguments, irritability, or volatile expression. This will be all the more likely where there is the consumption of alcohol whose effects will now be magnified so that even moderate quantities may result in aggressive or objectionable behaviour. Similarly the effects of caffeine will also be more apparent at this time and will increase ones levels of tension and anxiety to a noticeable extent.

Around midnight GMT (19:00 EDT) the overall atmosphere will become yet more tense and nervously inclined with the alignment of the Moon and Mercury, that will last for approximately twelve hours. This will create a powerful mental and nervous atmosphere with the possibility of an indecisive, worrying, or otherwise apprehensive attitude. There may also be an intense desire for change and variety, with sensitive and highly instinctive feelings.

For some this may prove to be an intense challenge and coming just ahead of the New Moon will make the next few days prone to high levels of stress and tension. On the other hand provided one can find the discipline to persevere this period offers the chance for very active and fulfilling expression in both physical and mental activities.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 3% illuminated.
