7th - 8th July 2007

The effects of the Venus/Saturn alignment will now be more obvious as there is little to balance its influence. In addition the two planets are in opposition to Neptune, thus creating a forceful mood inducer that may cause problems for some.

Expected traits may include delicate, refined, or senstive feelings with idealistic or sentimental inclinations. In addition there may be a better appreciation of beauty and harmony with an especial attraction for music.

These above mentioned traits may be balanced by more limited, controlled of disciplined emotions that may be subject to lowered self confidence or enthusiasm. There may also be an easy sense of disappointment or disillusionment, so that finding the necessary resolve to persevere with things may prove difficult. With this current phase of the Moon there may be a tendency towards lowered inspiration or melancholia, with some depression or general lack of motivation.

Others may perceive this as a time of few great highs or lows that may be broadly equivalent to the emotional doldrums. If so then there may be an overwhelming sense of dull routine with some boredom and trouble in profitably filling up ones time.

It may also be possible that a few might be suffering from the effects of what has been a prolonged period of highly challenging moods and feelings. Fortunately this atmosphere has now toned down somewhat, though some may take time to adapt. This means there may be subtle doubts and fears with apprehensions that for some may be acute and debilitating.

Coming days will tend to diminish the stressful element of the last week or so, though as mentioned above this may be at the expense of some melancholia or depression.

Alert is 7. Moon 46% illuminated.

6th - 7th July 2007

Moods and emotions may just be heading for more sedate levels of activity than for quite some time. The Moon is now past its monthly - and highly unsettling - alignment with Uranus, and in a number of days will be at a phase that registers few great highs or lows and is broadly equivalent to the emotional doldrums. Even so there is still need to be wary as Venus continues to be in alignment with Saturn.

The two planets have now been conjunct for around ten days, and this has exerted a balance against the more extreme factors of other celestial forces. This has largely meant restrained or limited emotional expression with disciplined or inhibited feelings. The unfortunate side of this is a sense of easy disappointment or discouragement, or a disposition to exacting emotions, selfishness, or feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Up until now these emotions have been countered by the more zestful and forceful moods of the Full Moon and various aspects of the Moon with other planets. Now however the full force of the Venus/Saturn alignment will be obvious and the above mentioned traits will become all the more apparent.

As mentioned in frequent other bulletins, both Saturn and Venus are also in alignment with Neptune. This has created a more refined and sensitive atmosphere, making possible the appreciation of balance and harmony through the appreciation of the arts and particularly music. So far these qualities may have been swamped by other influences, but may now be more evident and able to work their particular attraction.

It should be remembered that Saturn and Neptune are in a particularly long term opposition that has persisted since the summer (northern hemisphere) of last year and will continue till the end of summer (northern hemisphere) of this year. This has contributed to a general state of confused or impractical thinking with inhibition of creative potential as well as a general state of emotional frustration. Most of these feelings will already have been well absorbed and taken for granted, but when the opposition finally comes to an end the difference should be very noticeable. It means that if the last year has seemed one of frustrating progress, with confused sense of purpose then the Saturn/Neptune opposition may be a firm candidate.

Alert is 7.5. Moon 58% illuminated.
